Work is preventing me from testing. However, my old Sako proved more problematic, which I put down to the 1:11 twist rate and long throat. This way I can live vicariously through other's efforts. I set the OAL to just fit in the magazine and loaded up 4 rounds with varying charge weights of H1000. These bullets are slightly more pricey than most but pay for themselves and then some. Right now I have no RL-15 to try, so I will use this for hunting this year. It took a lot more time with the absolute to find the right powder/charge. So I don't have to worry about impact velocity being a limiting factor nor the bullet doing it's job. So far every rifle I've tried Hammers in shoots them well. Not being a velocity freak and an F-Class shooter as well, I always gravitate the lower / mid accuracy node, as it prolongs both case and barrel life. That said, I stopped at 2909 fps ES 3 for obvious reasons - it's got enough grunt to drop anything in a fur coat, if administered properly. All these were 1-1/2 to 2 + groups.
